Rochdale Art College - Foundation Course 1973-74

Cheltenham & Gloucester College - BA (Hons) 1974-77

Royal Academy of Arts Schools – MA 1977 - 80

In addition to Channel 4’s acclaimed ‘Max Headroom,’ John’s television and film credits include ‘Rob Roy,’ ‘The French Lieutenants Woman,’ ‘Dr.Who,’ ‘The Young Ones,’ ‘Something For The Weekend.’ He has also contributed works to many other films, television programmes and commercials
I have been a visiting tutor at Harlow College, Richmond Adult and Community College and Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. I am currently teaching life sculpture at Loughborough University.
Exhibitions to date include showings at The Nicholas Treadwell Gallery, Yorkshire; the Museum of the Moving Image; The Well Hung Art Company; The Royal Academy of Arts; the Basel Art Fair and the Miami Art Fair.
I have recently shown a commissioned sculpture of Mick Fleetwood at the Royal  Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition 2001.
I am the recipient of the Royal Academy Alumni Association sculpture award.
I am currently working on a number of commissions, and have started working on a  large sculpture of the Crucifixion of Christ and the Thieves.
